Abstract:
This proposed work introduces a Dc–Dc interleaved boost converter based on the design of supplementary inductor for reducing the switching loss and switching stress for the grid connected applications. A brief essential feature is presented to demonstrate some advantages that are distinctively used in voltage step-up applications. The attitude of the converter is analyzed through a wide-range. The amount of energy extracted from the PV panel is based on the available power, PV voltage ripple and dynamic response. The converter can be applied as grid connected system to operate as a high gain boost stage with inverters in renewable energy systems. The converter achieves high step-up voltage gain with suited duty ratio and low voltage stress on the power switches from PV panel. The operating principles and the steady-state analyses of the proposed interleaved boost converter are discussed and its performance of grid connected ZVS is manifested as simulation results to verify the analysis of converter operation and efficiency improvement.
