- Abstract:
- With the intense growth of mobile communications day by day, deployment and maintenance of cellular mobile networks are becoming more and more complex, time consuming, and expensive. In order to meet the requirements of network operators and service providers, the telecommunication industry and international standardization bodies have recently paid intensive attention to the research and development of self-organizing networks. This article will first introduce the Cellular Telephone System, followed by an overview of Network Management System and Self Organizing Networks, along with a focus on the self-configuration and its prototypes like New Cell Site and New Network Node. Finally it will discuss the evolution of LTE networks and their impact on the Cellular Telephone System.
