Abstract:
A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is an accumulation of wireless mobile nodes which are autonomous and can dynamically self-organize that creates temporary network topology. It does not possess any centralized or fixed network infrastructure; therefore, MANETs are basically desirable for infrastructure less or complex network and cost of the network is very low. It provides very quick installation or the network setup can be done within a short period of time. These features create MANET so attractive for judicious communication in the field of military and rescue missions. In MANET, clustering is one of the important areas since it enhances the performance of flexibility and scalability even in large network with high mobility. Mobile nodes in MANET are operating on battery power and the efficiency and power consumption becomes a significant issue. In this research, we proposed Energy aware and Efficient Cluster based Multipath Diversity Routing (EECMDR) that forms the network nodes into several clusters and find energy aware and efficient node disjoint optimal paths from source to destination and it does not require any GPS scheme to discover the position of nearest node. Thus, increases the network life-time and the experimental results are shown.
